Tactical (2/3)The current popularity of Golden Compass and light defense dual duties has me somewhat leery about this in 2p. Still, the ability to get 10 through Burrow and Faerie Tabard can come in handy.

Another Angle (1/1) If this is the best weapon you can afford, get one of the cheaper other NQ2 weapons instead. As a backup for your higher level weapons (hi Laurs!) this can be very useful

Alternatives: This really isn`t worth paying much more for than you would for a Scuzzys Comb or for a Staff of Righteous Fury. For 2p, the bargain Jittery Jupple Potion and Steaming Skeem Potion are worth considering. In 1p Prickly Potion is frequently better for a lower price. Of course, if you just have to be different, get a Royal Wedding Ring

Upgrades: The next step up is 11-iconers such as Sword of Apocalypse, Goo Blaster, Fungus Ray and Garoo Elite Blaster

Defenses/Countermeasures: Amulet of of Inevitable Betrayal and Sword of the Dead come out even against this, and the currently ubiquitous Golden Compass beats it.

This weapon is great at lower level fighting, where abusing burrow and sink, is almost as powerful as freezing. I have won many battles by going turn one RSB + cheap 6 iconer that also gets through burrow such as Battle Torch, sending several icons through burrow either killing them, or forcing them to heal while their weapons are blocked by a burrow/sink of my own.

This loses effectiveness quickly though since it is hit by several lower level dual duties such as golden compass, Sword of the Dead, Ethereal Sword, Dusty Magic Broom, ect. I keep one of these in my lower level set just to get through Burrow though, and switch to a combination of Essence of Esophagor and Scuzzys Comb to stop opposing dual duties.

So if a Skeith eats this does it blow up in his stomach or something?

One Player: 8 / 10
This and Scuzzys Comb are the only two readily available 10-iconers. The Comb costs half the price this does. On the other hand, this does blend just as well with Essence of Esophagor as backup, and this can back Bow of Destiny just as well as the Comb can.

Two Player: 7 / 10
At a fifth of the price, Golden Compass beats this head-on. Scuzzys Comb is beaten by Thief Dagger, but at least the Dagger isn`t ubiquitous in Two Player battling. Of course, that`s ignoring Dusty Magic Broom and Air Faerie Crown, which slaughter both this and the Comb. Burrow-blasting is why this gets so much credit.

Final Score: 7 / 10
This is still considered `better` than Scuzzys Comb, though I`m not sure I agree. Theoretically, there should be a comparable number of each in the economy, and all this has going for it is popularity and the Burrow-blasting. One Player battlers stay away, Two Player battlers consider as you will.

It's still being given out by Neoquest II, and it still hasn't been downgraded. After three years, I think it's safe to say it won't be! 9 icons is now the newbie/intermediate standard, and many 9-iconers (and the RSB's sister weapon, the 10-icon Scuzzys Comb) are a lot cheaper than this. However, the icon types are decent (all 10 blast through burrow, although sink stops them cold), so this is still a good value for 2-player. If you do 1-player only, you'd be fine with the cheaper comb.

The last rating for this weapon is Sept 2005. It is now May 2007, the Age of the Nine Iconers.

Does that make this weapon obsolete? Absolutely not! 10 icons past burrow at a price that is less than half a mil, you can`t get any better than that.

The downside is that it is playing with 2 of the most common icons right now, so that makes this far from perfect. Still, it is of great value. Every battler should have this equipped at one point of time in their Neo life

Excellent value icons of a nice type make this a decent weapon in it's bracket

All the icons gets past burrow but they are also commonly blocked by dual duty weapons but is still excellent value, especially at lower levels 4/5

1 player
God value, but not as good as Scuzzys Comb, but the icons will get something past almost all opponents 4/5

No doubt, it's a great weapon. The ability to completely run through burrow may surprise your opponent . Consider Scuzzys Comb as an alternative 10-icon weapon if you can't afford this.

10 icons for around 1 million. It kills through Burrow, but is completely blocked by Sink. Combine this weapon with a earth dealing weapon like Honey Potion or Dusty Magic Broom and you have an invincible force. However, it is a game prize and has a good chance to be downgraded. Most likely it won't be, the weapon compares to the Scuzzys Comb.

Rather cheap since you can get it in 1 mil range and great for the attack which cant be killed by burrow. The alternative is Scuzzys Comb.

This is one great 10 iconer. Good mix of icons, and comes at a cheap price. Burrow cannot block it at all. However, with the increasing trend of using dual duty weapons like the Wand of the Moon and the Air Faerie Crown, the strength of the Ramtors Spellbook is decreased significantly. Also, it runs the risk of being downgraded. Its counterpart, the Scuzzys Comb is a cheaper alternative.
